“Everything happening in the world is stressing me out.”
I’ve been hearing this from so many people.
And, I get it.
Every week there’s a new crisis, a new law, a new wave of conflict or outrage.
The news doesn’t just inform anymore, it stirs you.
It nudges your nervous system like it’s trying to keep you in a constant state of alert.
Fear, agitation, anxiety.
(Not exactly the vibe for a thriving gut.)
And when that becomes the background noise in your home, car, and mind… it’s no surprise we start responding to our own bodies with the same frantic energy:
A symptom shows up and suddenly it’s
“Fix it! Silence it! Make it go away!”
But that reaction… it’s a learned, conditioned response.
A kind of quiet programming that most people never notice.
⚡Here’s a good news flash ⚡:
There are kinder ways to meet symptoms.

Back in 2010, I got rid of my TV and stopped consuming the news entirely. Full breakup. No regrets.
Not to disconnect from the world, but to reconnect to myself.
And I’ve encouraged many friends, clients, and family to try the same, even just for a week, because the shift in your nervous system is wild.
Because yes: this is part of EATING.
It’s what you’re consuming… not just physically, but mentally.
